Die Band

The band Reamonn began with a classified advertisment from Rea in the paper. "Irish singer is looking for band for recording and tour". It didn't take long for Mike to contact Rea. He knew Sebi, who played in a band with Uwe. Uwe told Phil about the project they were doing and suddenly he was there too. Reamonn was born.

Hamburger Logo 1999. A small, smoky pub in the middle of the city. 16 representatives of well known record companies were sitting in the room. Five talented young musicians came in, mounted the stage and gave their best. With their atmosphere and music they grabbed the attention of the industry's reps. So much so that at the end of that day they found themselves in the position of being able to choose a label from the many gathered there. The choice, later proven to be a good one, was Virgin Records. Following this was a tour as the support act for HIM.

In summer 2000 they found themselves with a major hit - "Supergirl". The single went to gold in an amazingly short time and became the most played song on German radio. The boys became stars and played a lot of gigs at "free" concerts/festivals. In autumn 2000, they started with the first "own" tour of their debut album, "Tuesday" with support from "Heyday"( Summer; could be day, could be night ). With songs like "Josephine" and "Waiting there for you", Reamonn was out to prove that they were no "one hit wonder".

After a guest appearance in the German movie "Mondscheintarif", in which they performed their single "Weep", Reamonn released the album "Dream ° 7". The current single from this album is "Life is a dream".

On 17.06.02 their brand-new single "Place Of No Return ( In Zaire )", recorded for the successful Pro7 production "Fort Boyard", came on the market. This song received a rather mixed reception from the fans.

Just recently the band was back in the studio and recording demo tapes for their new album, which is expected to be hit the shops sometime in early 2003.
